need puter help (secure wireless)
ok i have a wireless router (dlink) but we have 3 desktops and my laptop. everything is working well. (besides the one puter the farthest from the router but going today to buy a boaster for it (wireless card with ant that has boaster on it or something like that))
but ok heres my prob i cant get a secure connection between all the puters and the router. like i can create a secure conection between my laptop and 1 desktop but then the other 2 wont connect. i need help tryin to get all of them connected secure. casue right now my house is a hotspot casue i keep seein ppl on my connection. so i just boot them but if anyone with a lil know how could help me out. pm me if you are realy good with this kinda stuff or reply or if need be ill call if someone can help with a walk through. heading off to store to get wireless card then to doc office and some other go happy go luck BS that i have to do.... but ill be around latter tonight. thanks all for all help provided.... time for more meds

well if you are having problems with an encrypted connection..then why dont you make it much easier on youself and just only allow the four MAC addresses that are going to be using it, that way no one can get in but you, and it will never question your connection.
OR just password protect the AP.
this might be more difficult on a dlink..i always use LinkSys...i have my network configured perfectly on only allowing the MAC address of my laptop.
