so i'm due to go home @ 9.. at 8:57 this woman at customer service is like 'go clean bathrooms' and i've been bagging for 5 diff registers since 4 nonstop, and I said okay, so I did the bathrooms, (wiped/409'd/windexed) everything, sinks, hand dryers, towel machines, soap dispensers, mirrors, toilet seats, and changed all the garbages.. and i took the trash to the back and went up front to clock out, clocked out @ 9:10, and my mom'* fiancee was gonna pick me up tonight since the van had to get worked on, and i told her it was done, and she says 'you didn't bring no damn mop up here' and i didnt' know we had to mop and sweep and ****, and i said that to her but not with ****, i said stuff, and she said well if it'* not done right i'm gonna leave jeff a nice little note about this and i'm writing you up'.. jeff being the store asst. manager, who hires, and writes up, and fires, etc
..so i told her i'd talk to the manager, and whatever.. and she said whatever just leave goddamnit i'll have mark do it but he'* my only bagger tonight and i said well if i drove myself tonight, i'd def. stay and help , whether on the clock or not, but i'm not making someone wait when i'm already 15 minutes late.. he'* going to be pissed! and the woman is just like 'fine get the hell out of here' and i said 'okay' so i don't know

im so depressed about / with everything

what would you say/do/think in this situation

i need to think this over fully so i know when i go in there next time i know what i'm gonna do and say

I deal with conflicts in a slightly different matter, bring the opposing party into a meeting whether it be with a coworker, a manager, ceo whatever if I have a conflict I tell them my opinion then listen to theirs and make a fair and just conclusion. A whiteboard or projector with MS Paint is always good, or even pen and notebook....We make a compromise and explain all sides and points, then go from there. I've worked 14 hour days before when I was scheduled for 8 and you know what it happens but it looks good on your record.

Works every time.

I already figured it out.

I'm going to tell him "Now before you make any choices, or decisions, i'd like you to calmly not say anything at all, and let me voice my problem, and what in my opinion should be done, and what shouldn't have been done, and what I feel violated about."

she was sitting there swearing at me over not knowing what to do.. i'm sitting there feeling plenty dense over the thing

..is this correct, you think ?

Go have a talk with the manager in the morning and tell him what happened, and how you were treated. It will probably make it worse with whats her face, but you at least know you can have the manager on your side by doing what your suppose to and keeping him updated on the situation.

I wouldnt recommend making any suggestions as to how to correct the womans behavior because she has a history there already and the manager may think your starting trouble, or trying to tell him how to do his job. Just tell him what happened and how you felt afterwards, then let him talk.

Hang in there, you'll get it resolved!!

You're what, 17? Don't fret too much, you'll have plenty of worse jobs. Just try to stick it out, and if it really bugs you, move on. You're much too young to be stressing about work already.

I've had four jobs..

First one was 2 weeks, got fired. Second was burger king, lasted 6.5 months, quit out of will due to being harassed about being a bigger sized kid, and not learning things right-quick sometimes, being called retarded, etc., third i got let go after two months .. small conflict with customer, this one.. fourth, already been written up once within two weeks for taking a 17 minute break and 'policy' is 15 minutes, and i am scared if i lose this, i'm screwed

Close. Very, very close. If, when you see the manager, he/she has something to say, let them say it. Then ask for a chance to calmly explaion your side of the situation. Use no foul language, even if he'* your buddy and you talk like thaqt normally with him/her. Stay calm, don't raise your voice, etc. The whole point is to make yourself seem as ratinal as humanly possible, making her (the woman from last night) look like the psycho.

The icing on the cake would be to ask that you be instructed omn proper procedure the next time you are asked to clean the bathrooms. Even if you hate that particular duty, make it appear you are more than happy to do it.

And yeah, if it'* really that bad, your options are deal with it for the money (harsh, yes, but we've all been there. Us old guys that is ), or move on. I've had more jobs than you've had birthdays. Some were good, some sucked more than you'll hopefully ever know. You gotta make a call and decide what'* best for you. At your age, quitting and moving on would be no big deal.
