Did you get today off?

For some reason, my university decides to ignore a nationally recognized holiday and keeps classes going for today. Lots of other schools have the day off, but not mine.

Not to mention, there is only one small event going on today on the campus to recognize MLK. This school bothers me sometimes...

I'm sitting in class as I post this. But being Canada, this isn't a holiday at all :o

im off today

All of our local HS's were supposed to be off today except one. They got a bomb threat last Friday, checked it out this weekend, found nothing. But said because of the nature of the threat they will be closed today.

Some peoples kids.

im off, but i dont know if its for that or teacher training. i dont care either way.

The schools here are closed and a lot of business' also. Except I'm at work. We tried our darndest to get the day off to no avail. :evil:

I'm surprised...it seems that most of the schools in southern MI (GR counts) have it off...although I am not surprised a bit further north that we don't...

I have it off today. Where I work all of the holidays follow what the Feds get off.

Would have much rather had a day off in the summer, but I'll take the freebie! Gave me the chance to go the NAIAS.....and confirm that I really, really don't like the 09 Camaro.
