Possible new job
Well, I have an interview tomorrow for a Tier 2 Tech Support job with comcast cable. If I get it, I'll be making 15.75 an hour plus bonuses based on performance, with lots of overtime available. If I do get the job, I'll be planning on working around 60 hours a week after training, on top of my school every day. I will have no social life, but it will well be worth it. Wish me luck everyone, and if anyone else has ever worked for comcast, I wouldn't mind hearing opinions about how the company treats its employees.

man working those hours will suck and you will have no social life. The money will be GREAT though. Im working 60 hour weeks when off school (now) and working 40 hour weeks and up in school going full time high school. It will suck until you recieve your paycheck and will go YEAH!!!!

You know, money is nice, but quality of life is a hell of a lot more important. I've had jobs where I made a lot of money, but worked so many hours I never had time to enjoy it. I guess it'* ok as long as it'* not a long term thing....but, good luck to you!

As far as the pay is concerned... You have to remember, not only am I in california, but I'm close to silicon valley. Anything even remotely tech related pays pretty well. And I used to work a rather similar schedule when I was a TSR for Dish network, but I only made 9.75/hr.

Technical Support Representative. But now that you mention it...a portion of their job IS typical up-selling or cross-selling tech support customers.
