Re: I Lost My F***ing Keys!
We'll keep an eye out for ya :)
|
Hope you fine them soon. I hate when I lose common items
|
Isn't this the second time you have lost them? Or last time you posted that you locked them in the car ...
|
If you think they are outside, find out if any of your friends have a metal detector. Longshot, I know. You can also use a big magnet from a speaker, hang it from some twine and section your yard with it just above the grass. Hopefully it'll grab your keys.
But the odds are that they'll be underneath the big pile of siding you just created. DON'T do the mowing until they turn up, I'll bet a mower would put a key-ring and keys into orbit. Or through your leg... |
The last time I remember having them was going to the mailbox. And they're nowhere around there. I've looked every possible place and dug up the pile of siding I made. NOTHING.
I feel someone might've found them and have them right now. I don't know what to do now :( |
This is the exact reason I always keep a spare set somewhere.
|
Good luck, I HATE it when I lose something.
|
did you go inside at all? could they be in there?
|
This might sound stupid, but I did it once... Did you have a lot of mail? I set my keys on/in the mailbox once to carry it all and completely forgot about them...

I just know that someone found them and has them right now since I've exhausted all searching options..... |
Well, if you can get in to your car, you might want to take the battery out or something (if you're afraid of that kind of thing happening).
|
Still looking and still nothing. If I have to get a new ignition key. What range of price would it be? Then I need a new keyfob. :(
Grrrr I'm so mad at myself. This will dent my "Get stuff and save for the meet," money :o |
That really sucks! the hard part is knowing which resistor you have in the key. The key itself ranges from like 25-50 depending on who/where you get it.
|
I paid $53 for the key, and $120 for the fob for the wife at the dealer. Then I got smart and found a fob for me on E-Bay for $20.
If you have the original owners manual for the car there should be a key code somewhere? |
Hmm. Yeah, not gonna be cheap to get new keys cut from the dealer.
They HAVE to be there though...I mean, if you didn't go anywhere else, they have to be RIGHT there. I mean with a buncha keys and a big black keyfob, how hard is it to lose em?! |
Yeah right after you pay to get new ones made you will; find the old ones since thats how things work for me.
