I live in downtown Pretentious Festival Central, USA....every chance they get they host some silly festival or other...which I suppose would be nice, if they didn't choose to do it right in the middle of downtown....so that those of us who actually live here can't park or drive anyplace without dealing with a great big cluster#%@&...I'm considering moving to Western/Upstate New York....if anybody'* got any good information/opinions about that area...

I remember that first Friday night down there, they had some kinda event goin on...remember all the stands and the ppl and the live music...pretty cool for the tourists, I recall you, and your sister and Hailey and I walkin beside the EF Lane and all the vendor stands and stuff.

Then on the Saturday morning I woke up to a nice quiet day, then walked outside at 10:30 with Hailey and there was a parade...I was like WTF???

NY is cool to move to

This time it'* ice sculptures....which, again, might be cool...if they didn't have to plunk everything smack in the middle of the central rotary because it'* so quaint or whatever, so that traffic'* stopped up all over town....I don't understand why they can't do at least some of this stuff in one of the parks...but anywho...yeah...I do remember now that there was some sort of music thing going on when you were here...

Upstate NY is nice! Of course I'm biased. Where are you thinking of moving? Syracuse area, or more west like Rochester, maybe Buffalo? There are some nice places here. Downtown Syracuse is not bad. It'* getting better. They have an ice skating rink and a 60 foot X-mas tree for the holidays. Looks nice. And the weather probably isn't to different from NH.

Oooooo...cool....I'm actually just considering anyplace between Syracuse and Rochester at this point...I've been thinking about it off and on for a few years now...First I have to figure out how to find a job so far away from here...and then I'd have to figure it out from there...It'd be nice to get out of this area, but still be close enough to come home and visit the fam/friends regularly...

Miami, try www.ziply.com and search for jobs. That may help. I use it now and then. Skaneateles is a nice place to live too. It'* between Rochester and Syracuse. It would have been where I got my design job, but they never got back to me. :(
