Is there a way to have MSN Messenger messages appear offline, like you can do with Yahoo?

I'm not sure if this is what you are going for, but couldn't you just go invisible?

I use Invisible to check mail real fast, lol. I just wanted something to leave messages if the other user is not online. Instead of writing an email, just write a short IM.

Just as a note, you cannot send messages offline like in YM, but you can log in as Invisible, you just cant do anything.

I have gotten Gaim to do it once, also. On accident.. so I kinda forgot how I did it. But I think I know logging in under invisible mode will do it.
