While we are on the subject of allgeries......what are you allergic too? I don't mean work, or my wife/husband/kids.

I am allgeric to cranberries.....I know, I know it is werid. I am also allergic to a kind of medication, but don't ask me to spell it  :?
Jessica and Andrew are both allgeric to wool, natural wool, not the synthetic stuff.

Your turn now...

J Wikoff 11-29-2005 07:44 PM

Nothing. Not even poison ivy. I've rolled in it without the slightest rash.

willwren 11-29-2005 08:00 PM

Not allergic to anything, but naturally immune to Morphine.

John Deere Boy 11-29-2005 08:07 PM

Cottonwood sawdust is the only thing i've ever noticed.

Re: Allergies

I'm allergic to Apracots (I think thats how you spell it) and I can't take Ibuprofine for some reason either. :?

Gumball 11-29-2005 08:16 PM

I once had to take tylenol with codene and broke in a rash all over
and have never taken it again.

funny J Wikoff, I dont get anything from poison Ivy either
but I wouldnt roll around in it

J Wikoff 11-29-2005 08:31 PM

I didn't roll in it on purpose, that's just asking for it.

Baileyjack 11-29-2005 08:41 PM

I've suffered from hives (cronic utacaria) for about 6 or so years now. They've tried to do allergy tests on me, but i can't stay off the antihistamines long enough to be tested properly. I have a slight allergy to grass and trees since i was a kid.

Im allergic to bee stings

My grilfriend is deathly allergic to seeds and seafood. Its really bad when we go out to eat. Even at Mcdonalds she has to ask for seedless bread.

ga93sle 11-29-2005 08:44 PM

Not a thing.

Re: Allergies

Wasn't there a little girl up in Canada that died recently from an allergic reaction to peanuts? I've heard of stuff like that before. Thats got to be terrible

Tetanus Shots. My arm looks like it has a softball under the skin after a tetanus shot. i have to take a Hutet shot.

dbeast420 11-29-2005 10:02 PM

Any form of codine. Makes me itch like crazy.

Custom88 11-29-2005 10:20 PM

I'm allergic to penasilin (sp?) I'm also allergic to mold (thus why I'm allergic to penasillin.)

Oh.. I forgot one! Gel-type deodarants.. They cause my skin to become excessively dry and my skin to turn a dark color several inches from where I stopped the application of the deodarant. I can use dry/solids though no problems. (thank god!)

Jim W 11-29-2005 10:49 PM

Aspirin and a slight allergy to a chemical in cats saliva...when they lick their fur and it sheds...if I breathe and a hair is near...that chemical affects me.

hence no cats...ever.

SSEimatt93 11-29-2005 11:12 PM

Penecilian, and oddly enough, some metals, like on the back of some watches, not nice, itch like crazy causes hives too.

repinS 11-29-2005 11:25 PM

Ragweed. :(

harofreak00 11-29-2005 11:29 PM

pet dander and dust mites...

was tested... anyone ever been tested to see what allergies they have??? if so.. explain the testing :D

sse1990 11-29-2005 11:31 PM

Allergic to dust, mold, mildew, dogs, and I think cats. Yet I grew up around dogs, and I also have a couple of cats. They are all slight allergies, nothing big. Oh and feathers, I used to always sleep with feather pillows.

My guess is that when I was being tested for allergies ( since I had some nasty reactions to some medication), that my body developed allergies to things I am around for too long.

That reaction to the medication, boy that was nuts. I woke up in the morning, my hands were about 4 times the normal size and my face was twice to 3 times it's size. Good thing it didn't affect my throat, looked like I was in a fight.

When I was tested, they used my arms. they placed drops of common things that people are allergic to and then once the drop was on my arm, they picked my arm to let the liquid get into my blood, then sent me home and I had to go back either the next day or the day after ( was a while ago, I can't remember the details). Not something you want to be out in public with after the testing, you have track marks on both arms ( like you have been injecting yourself), makes people wonder.

Mortehl 11-29-2005 11:37 PM

I'm allergic to Naturally Aspirated engines.. I just didn't know that until this past Saturday.
:smileycolors: :bband: :bouncingsmiles:

Seriously though, I'm not allergic to anything. Comes from playing in the dirt alot when I was a kid. Good strong immune system.

95naSTA 11-30-2005 12:39 AM

I'm allergic to Morphine (and I guess any other opiate) and Keflex/Cephalexin antibiotic. I found out I was allergic to Morphine after I woke up from getting my wisdom teeth pulled. I looked at my arms, they had hives, I half consciencely asked the nurse what was going on, she freaked and changed my IV.

driverjohn2005 11-30-2005 12:45 AM

I have mild alergies to dust and pet dander, but that isn't too out of the ordinary....

captainmiller 11-30-2005 12:57 AM

Just the usual dust, pollen and things of the like. During season changes (Especially Summer to Fall) I wake up every single morning sneezing my face off. It really sucks.

BonnieBrougham 11-30-2005 10:06 AM

Both my fiance and I are mildly allergic to cats. We have two. I suppose that would explain why he snores! I don't snore, thankfully...I once stayed up all night to find out, and didn't snore once! </bad joke from the Three Stooges>

MOS95B 11-30-2005 11:14 AM

The only allergy I know I have is to evergreens. Pine, cedar, juniper, etc. Can't get it on my skin, the pollen kills my eyes and sinuses....

Makes Xmas time loads of fun

BillBoost37 11-30-2005 11:23 AM

Just poison ivy. And until I was mid twenties I wasn't allergic to it.

All of you under 30... realize, your body is still changing..it will continue until you die. And finding out about poision ivy when you've never gotten it for 25 years really sucks.

JimmyFloyd 11-30-2005 03:30 PM

Well, let's see.... I'm allergic to fur and feathers... if it has either of those, then I am allergic to it. Feather's moreso than fur. Those are fairly mild and usually take long exposures to really effect me.

Side stories of note. On the peanut allergy, my friend's brother was allergic to nuts, like extremely, and went to a diner and got a chicken wrap, which unbeknownst to him, was cooked in peanut oil. Unfortunately, he passed away before the paramedics got there.

Also, My mother is chemical sensitive. Perfumes, scented anything, and she's deathly allergic. Been once or twice when she has been clinically dead due to students at her school being malicious and throwing cologne at her door. It is now considered attempted murder to do that there. She has gotten better in the last few years.
