Storing used drill bits

I'm trying to set a good way to store used drill bits. Since they come in so many different sizes has anyone found a good way to divide them up so that they are well organized in your tool box? These are the prerequisites:

They have to be stored in the tool box
We're talking several hundred used drill bits.

Thanks

I could..but you'd need a bigger tool box. Are they in existing cases or any type of containers ?

The drill bits I need to organize don't come in any containers or storage compartments. There are approximatly 50 different sizes I was hoping to organize.

hardware store: 50-bin plastic storage container, the kind with pullout drawers

thats how I organize my nuts/bolts/screws... I am not old and wise enough like you to have hundreds of bits.. I only have dozens ;)

haro, I have more than just several hundred drill bits. The other thousand or so are new and still in the package. i just wanted to store the thousands or so used bilts. I'll look into this storage bin you're talking about, the only thing though is that I didn't want to open any drawers one the tool drawer is open. I was hoping more for a open bin type storage compartment.

Take a peice of wood/plastic, etc, use the drill bit to drill a hole. remove drill bit and stick it in the hole you just made. Move on to the next drill bit.

if you have thousands of new drill bits then just throw away the old ones. You clearly will never use that many drill bits.

I'm thinking something like a plastic storage container with movable dividers like this.

I'd say that I have thrown out approximatly 1,500 drill bits in my lifetime. At $1.00 per drill bit on average, I don't want to throw out anymore drill bits. Hence the reason for buying a Drill Doctor that doesn't work.
