Default Audi R8 Supercar - A Machine You Can Love

I read a great review of this 187 mph, $112,000 car this weekend. What an awesome car!! The reviewer (for Wall Street Journal) was impressed not only that this car does everything that the competition does (Lambroghini, Ferrari, etc.), but does it while being comfortable to drive, easy to handle, and easy to love.

Plus, it'* down right gorgeous!!!! In my humble opinion, of course...

The WSJ article is not available without a subscription, so I picked another to link, plus a link for pictures.

What do you think?

It'* even more amazing in person. I would call it "orgasmic" when you get to drive one

Currently all but a couple of the R8'* in the US are sitting in our parking lot here at work. Can you guess what manufacturer I work for?

I'm more than a little envious of your proximity to those cars. Have you driven one then?

Yup.
It was a quick trip down the road and back but OMG! It'* an absolutely amazing car.

We have what we call an employee ride and drive prior to a new model launch. It allows everyone a chance to become more familiar with the new models. It'* was no suprise when they said there wasn't going to be a ride and drive with the R8. :?

Luckily, I know the right people if you're into driving the evaluation cars.

I like it, I'd rather have the Viper or Ford GT when it comes to new cars, but still it is pretty nice
