Hehe or go with a pentium D 805 (dual core) at $120 and overclock it to 4Ghz. (water cooling required 3.6Ghz max for air cooled)

Yeah I heard about this earlier this week. Considering going 939, not sure if it'* worth it with my new laptop on the way.

i've been amd all the way since i built my 64 bit 3000+ socket 754 two summers ago

but this conroe really looks like something sweet that would blow amd out the water

AMD will just come out with something way better. I love my AMD and will only buy AMD.
