standard for shift knobs?

1 Attachment(s)
This will seem like an odd question, but, is there a standard for shift knobs? I am mostly asking for the gated shifter style where it's just a handle with no button. I ask because there are Lexus shift knobs I'd really like to put on my Aurora, but, I do not know if there is a standard so basically any knob that is meant for a gated shifter will fit or not. I'd think that it would fit but I'm not sure. any ideas?

This is the shift knob btw:

the Lexus shifter has black leather. Will that look odd in my light colored interior? I can't seem to find any of the same knob in a neutral color. :(

EDIT: Why is it editing out SHIFT? hmm.

You need one with a button to release the shifter to move.

Because you forgot the f... I fixed it already.

No button? I'd guess you'd just have to ensure the rod diameter and attachement point/method. They make plenty of "universal" knobs, so I'm sure a standard exists. But does everyone actually use it?

They make adapters for the "universals". Basicially, it's just a plastic ring that makes up the difference between the knob and the rod..... immature giggle upon re-reading that...
