Tried googling.. but being up at the cottage.. the internet has become the interWAIT on 1X wireless dial up.

Basically.. I want to know wat wattage it would be from a 12V source to run something at 19V @ 3.46 Amps ( not including resistance and power loss etc.. )

3.46 amps at 19V gives you 65.74 watts.

Amps (A) 3.46 x Voltage (V or E) 19=65.75 Watts (W)

Sounds like your trying to run a laptop

Oh, DC Voltage x current (amps) = Power (watts)

You really can't make 12 volts = 19 volts. You need a converter (DC-DC)

Yes its running a laptop.. Long story short.. just wondering how much wattage/amperage it would draw on the car and or on the generator ( at the cottage ) to run the laptop..

The voltage "pushes" the amps or current. You have to have some way of coming up with the 19 volts first

If you are plugging your laptop into the car with a convertor, it will pull the same wattage.
