I have this program for my videos, but I do not have a compressor for MPEG videos. I would like to stop making all my videos in .wmv formats, and go with a nice MPEG-4 compression.

Does anyone know if there is a add-on pack for Premiere, or a different compressor I can use to convert AVI to MPEG ??

Can it use any encoder, or dose it have to be specialized for premier?

If it will encode from AVI to MPEG that'* fine.

I prefer an add on for premiere, but it'* no big deal.

DivX is an MPEG-4 derivative, i'm sure you knew that, there are a few others. i haven't done too much with authoring/encoding this year. If i see something i'll let ya know.

I can do Divx, and Xvid as well, but I want an .mpeg file.

MPEG 1 doesn't cut it. MPEG 2 is good because you can put it on DVD'*.
