Buying my first house =)
Well they wanted 225,000 for it. Offered 195,000 and her couches (buying tactic ) they came back with 205,000 and I can have couches. I said hold your horses 200,000 without the couches. I am glad I put in that couch thing because she accepted but wanted to move the date back to June 12 instead of May 29th. I said thats Fine we will just be sitting on the floor for a while hahah.
The funny thing is my wife doesn't know about the whole deal. She thinks we are still looking for houses. I told her that because this house didn't have a 2 car garage that we are not getting it. And we started looking at other houses. She Really loves this house though she didnt even want to go to the open house they had because we already seen it and knew we were not going to get it. Well surprise surprise I haave been notigating the whole time. She will find out tonight when she has to sign the papers
But man 1 car garage ='( But I have a Marine Corps base here that has all the tools, lifts and shop space I need to rebuild the SLE.
its beautiful inside the whole thing remodeled (not one of those flip the house things, her husband died unexpectally and she wants to move back with her kids on the East coast.)

The first house is always a big deal. Now you just have to hope that your wife really is happy with this house and deal, though it sounds as if that'* the case.
I'm sure you'll let us know how it turns out.
And eventually we'll want to see pics, of course.

no it wasnt FSBO. oh all our closing costs are paid for. And actually she denied my offer at 200,000 With the couches so thats when I said fine no couches (actually that was my last offer in my mind because we didn't want to go over 200k due to about 80k purchase coming up for the business)
