I ran into the same issue with selling our Grand Marquis. Nobody on craigslist was interested enough to offer anything close to my asking price.
I listed it on autotrader and had it sold in 6 days. You'll find better quality buyers from autotrader. |

I have a lady coming to look at it tomorrow night from 2 hour away. She is VERY interested. She is asking more questions about the title and lean release than the actual car. I think we have a winner. She has not mentioned the price.

shit. I just got an email from her. Of course she leaves the price to the last minute. I don't plan on selling it to her anymore.

We did not have collision insurance and we may not be paid for our damage as we were the car behind - it is going to be a battle as we both have the same insurance company. After looking at our finances, we can scrape together $4,500 in cash. If you are willing to sell your car to us for that, we would like to come down with the money tonight. We just built a new garage and we will take good care of the car. I'm sorry, but the lowest I can go is $5500 right now. If the car had been on the market longer, I would think about it, but I have already had several offers in your range. This car books at around $6500. |
