SO MAD!!! UPDATE NOW WITH PICS

Well, got the car back from the garage last night. Had the UIM done and what not.
Anyway it was dark out when I got it. Drove home and it seemed fine except it is real loud somewhere up front. Like the catalytic converter or something in the exhauast is not hooked up or has a hole. Gotta look at that in the light soon.
Anyway the wife kept the car today and when she was picking up our daughter from school she noticed a NICE, BIG crack in the driver's side front fender.
I know it wasn't there when the towing company picked it up, so it was either them or the garage that caused it. There is also a nice hole in the fender well where the crack starts. I am really thinking the tow company did it. Could be either though.
So mad! I called the garage and ofcourse they say they don't know anything about it. Called the towing company that took it out there and he said to call tommorrow and talk to the manager. Ofcourse no one is going to admit it. I got plenty of pics, I'll put them on as soon as I get them uploaded.
Lucky for me, and not for them, I work for an Attorney, so this problem should be fixed rather easily.

Ouch! That really sucks!

I would likely be as fumed as you are. Here you were expecting to get your car back all repaired and then there's this big crack and hole.....arrrrgggh!

Hang with it and keep us informed.

Sorry to hear. With the recent posts about disregard for other peoples belongings its amazing that these comanies stay in business. I hope everything works out for you in the end and whoever is responsible will take care of the damage!!

Keep us informed.

Some mechanics probably don't give a crap about the cars they work on, or just aren't careful. :shake: Who knows how that crack got there, but I've seen plenty of shop mechanics drive customer's cars like a bat out of hell. Sorry to hear about your damage. I just got my car back from a dealership and was pretty upset too. No damage like yours though.

Yeah, I was reading about yours. Sorry to hear about yours as well. Curious to see how you make out. Like I said, I work for an attorney so I see you have a pretty good case. I would love to see the contract that you have.

That sux, I hope they own up to it.

My biggest problem is going to be proving that it wasn't like that before. I have pics that show it wasn't how but how do you prove that it didn't happen since last time I took a pic? Actually, I think being on here will help. I can show posts that I take care of the car, and would have posted if something would have happened to cause the crack. The fact alone that I am on here and have a car domain paoge shows that I would have commented sooner if it would have happened.

You think I need a new fender?
On the plus side I discovered the "night mode" on the new camera is pretty decent.

Ummm, that's BAD! You'll need a new one for sure. It's destroyed. I can't believe someone did that and didn't own up to it.

Looks like it was hit with something about 1" above the wheel arch.

Idiots...
