Also they have some problems just like the Bonneville'*.. the VATS system... any many other things.. i know my dad has a 96 Caprice. its a older car.. thing brake and go bad..
Ford CV.. its a Ford...
Dodge charger.. to be as fast as a GTI and handle as good you would need the the 5.7L hemi and still need to add some mods to make it handle as good. and it would have cost him another 10K or more.
Magnum. yes its RWD and it more $ then the charger.... and its a Wagon. not everyone likes those..
the whole point of this thread was not to say what other cars he can buy its to show what he got and to Support his choice.
ok back on topic.
As stated in Topgear.. By a GTI save the world lol They do seem to be built VERY well. i mean the whole bottom of the car is covered with plastic covers to protect the chassis. and they have a 10 or 12 year rust warrenty.

Yes Really. thanks for reminding me. my friend GTI has been getting 28MPG around town. with a good amount of playing around.
just this week we did a test. we reset the MPG thingy.. Turned on the AC and drove about 30miles on highway. it got up to 32MPG with the AC on in only 30miles doing 60-70MPH
so i bet with the AC off and on a longer trip i can see it getting over 35MPG.
