Funny story pretaining to WCBF
Back in july when i was at the WCBF in oregon i seemed to have lost my, rather VERY expensive, class ring at the KOA campground. I looked around before we left but it was no use, i thought i certanly had lost it.
I started to look into how i might be able to replace my prized posession. I do have insurance on it but it would still cost a hefty $130. This now being my senior year i was leaning towards that route.
Yesterday I turned in my school release form that lets me work while in school. After letting the school have the form I went back to retrive it and i got the form as well as a small paded envelope. Not expecting anything i was quite suprised. I saw what the return address, it was from the Albany KOA campground. Knowing that I had lost my ring there I instantly opend it and inside was my class ring and a note!!!!! I first grabbed the ring then read the note. It said as follows:
"Please return to...
John G. *....
Unsure of last name
is engraved inside of ring.
Left at Albany-Corvallis Oregon KOA in July.
We think a baseball player!"
That same weekend that the WCBF a baseball team was camping in a few spots next to us so it was an educated guess that i was a baseball player that lost it.
I just got done writing a letter back to the KOA thanking them so very much for the return of my ring and money to pay for the postage and time that went into getting it back to me!
I just wanted to share this little piece of joy that happend to me today that had a connection to our humble club!
And for the record:
THANK YOU ALBANY/CORVALLIS KOA!
I'm so happy i could

I can't believe they didn't pin you with the noisy bonneville crowd. Your site was tagged for WCBF. Anyway, I went back a few days after WCBF and gave them a laser engraved plaque to thank them.
Good bunch of people there! You dumbass! You should have sent me out there to ask.

That is such a wonderful surprise! I am so happy for you. It is refreshing to know that there are still decent people in the world that would take the time to do something like that.
