The car that hit it was being driven by Jimmy Hoffa. He was distracted by Elvis'* singing in the passenger seat, and struck the dog/rodent/thing.
Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky were NOT having sex in the back seat when the unfortunate accident occured.

Let'* see now. Two vague pics, various "eyewitness" accounts by the same backwood locals who have perpetrated the beast myth, no analysis by officials of any type, heresay accounts of what it looked like (that differ BTW)....hmmmmm....I'm convinced...
On the other hand, that is the area of Maine that Steven King lives in and everyone knows that he wrote about the doors into other reality planes that he wrote about in his Dark Tower series, so....
