Default Search Engine Websites and IE6 Problems

OK...experts...can you figure this one out?

Whenever I go to google.com, or any webpage that can be considered a search engine...it never works.

I dunno how to explain it so...bear with me. When I go to www.google.com, it comes up with some cPanel page with a teal background and orange face font says

No website configured at this address"

Likewise when I try to use the Search feature in IE6, it comes with with

Error 404 Page Cannot be found

WTF is goin on?

It'* cuz you're STOOPID and sold RLD for a freaking OLDSMOBILE.

Sorry. I was temporarily overcome by my passion for Bonnevilles. Go to tools, internet options, and set your security to it'* lowest. See if that helps.

I've seen this problem before, and it was because of a virus side effect.

I'm gonna let the other guys help ya out, and if that doesn't work, I'll look in to my documents to show you what I did to fix this problem. It'* kinda complex.

A guy down the hall had a virus, and it was removed. However, it edited a text file in Windows that addressed websites. On there, there was some data that blocked google, as well as other sites. I need to look up where to find this again.

Yeah, try using the win xp disc, and checking windows. Otherwise check out Microsoft.com or recover to a date before this happened.
