Add another to the list.....
of things I will never try to fix on a car myself: the water pump on a 98 Grand Voyager. That was 30 minutes of intense wrist contorting AGONY just to get one single bolt on the pulley off. There are three bolts to remove, and supposedly three holes in the pulley that you can jam a driver through in order to stop the pulley spinning. Notice I said SUPPOSEDLY, not ACTUALLY ARE.
I ended up getting the thing free, but the fun part is that it didn't solve the problem, a serp belt squeal that won't stop, with some glazing of the smooth side. I've changed the tensioner and pulley, the idler pulley, the AC idler pulley. It'* not the alt or power steering pump, so now I'm stumped, because there isn't anything else! I'm thinking of just giving up and finding if there is a belt a little bit smaller than the stock one.

To keep the pulley spinning you could have just left the belt on and loosened the bolts.... the friction from the belt should have kept it from slipping. Or a big pair of vice-grips.
Replacing a WP on a Vin C takes less than an hour.... I <3 my huge engine bays
