Fake is such an "unflattering" word......how about "engineered"?

Princess Jeanie 12-15-2005 02:55 PM

Where is the both option? I have real one at home, and had a fake or umm.."engineered" one in my dorm.

LittleHoov 12-15-2005 02:56 PM

we use an "engineered" :D tree...but its because certain family members have some outdoor allergies that are affected by a real tree in the house.

i personally am not allergic to them, or at least am not allergic to the 9 footer in my best friends house, because we sat curled up(shes a girl, just thought id toss that in there) by it for quite some time and it didnt bother me a bit.

driverjohn2005 12-15-2005 02:59 PM

Real, but we still don't have ours :? :x :o

92BonneSE 12-15-2005 03:44 PM

Jim W 12-15-2005 03:46 PM

Real...nothin but Fraser Fir!..there is nothing quite like a real Christmas tree :)

banned3800 12-15-2005 04:12 PM

singscountry1967 12-15-2005 04:29 PM

Always used to have a real one....for like 16 years in a row.... now I have a fake one only because the ex got the truck and I have no way to get a real one home....

no...not going to strap it on top of the Bonne! and I'm too stubborn to ask someone for help! :D

repinS 12-15-2005 04:49 PM

dbeast420 12-15-2005 05:19 PM

None,I've got cats!!

Gumball 12-15-2005 06:36 PM

I still have ground in tree sap in my hands from todays purchase.

impatient99 12-15-2005 06:37 PM

it is not a "fake" tree, it is not a "ghetto" tree.
It is Zirconium or "affordable" or whatever the politically correct word is for P.O.S.
We have a, get this boys and girls - "reusable" tree.

The word "fake" sounds like Pam Lee's rack.

LMAO...That is great....I'm still chuckling!

Reusable tree - great term! Sort of like when they started saying "Preowned" instead of "used" cars! Or "manufactured" home instead of "mobile".

In my home we have to go with an engineered tree due to the fact the rest of my family can never remember to water the darn thing and by Christmas it looks like that poor little tree you see in Charlie Brown's Christmas.

Not to mention the fact the damm cats won't stay out of it, the little @#$%'s even knocked it over one year.

Baileyjack 12-16-2005 08:06 AM

2 Reusable Fibre Optic trees, both are just table top trees about 3-4 footers
Reasons:

#1 3 cats...

#2 I'm a tree hugger... :D

BonnieBrougham 12-16-2005 09:45 AM

Fake tree. I think it's supposed to be "shabby chic" or something like that. I personally am of the opinion that it looks an awful lot like the tree out of "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

You can come hug mine a a couple of weeks. Like I said earlier, I'm allergic. The freakin thing just touches me and I get a rash. So, you wanna come haul it to the curb for me???

SSE14U24ME 12-16-2005 10:45 AM

I haven't had a real tree for years. When I did I surprised my boyfriend by wearing nothing but my long leather jacket and a pair of boots to go pick out the tree. So everytime I think about getting a real tree it reminds me of that year.

Now I just have a fiber optic tree. No muss, no fuss.

JimmyFloyd 12-16-2005 01:44 PM

Roommate wanted a tree, so she got a real one. This is my first real tree. Mother is allergic to pine (among other things) so we've always had a metal pole pretending to be a tree at home. I like the "engineered' one betterthan the real though.
