Default Northwest Brewfest update

Drinking Tequila and brewing another batch. Classic American Light Lager.

Inventory so far:

Weizenbeir: Bottled, drinkable in 2 weeks.
Nut Brown Ale: Bottled, drinkable in 2 weeks.
Pilothouse Pilsner: Bottled, drinkable in 5 weeks.
Red Devil IPA: Bottled, drinkable in 5 weeks.
West Coast Pale Ale: Fermenting, bottling in one week, drinkable 6 weeks after.
Classic American Light Lager: Brewing, ferment for 2 weeks, drinkable 6 weeks after bottling.

Each is a full case of beer.
I'm now setting aside 6 bottles of each batch for WCBF beer-tasting. I have more to brew between now and then, too.

Illegal to ship non-taxed (home-brewed) beer or wine. Believe it or not. You don't want to get caught doing it.

I can legally brew 100 gallons per year for my own use. While this seems like a tiny amount to consume, it takes a little work to create.

Need to get more Tequila. From the pantry.

Important to keep good records. Each cap is labelled with the batch number. I can play with the beer this way, and refer back to the 'bible' to see what worked. Those that samle will write their likes/dislikes in the bible.

Yeast colonies in action. This stuff is starting to smell like beer.

Tonight'* creation. Should have yeast colonies forming within 2 days.

Forgot the caption on the last pic.

Those are 24 ounce bottles (12 each) on the side in the crates. Each 12 pack is full of 12 ounce bottles.

Alot of work goes into the bottles alone. You have to sterilize and de-label them, then sterilize the caps before bottling and capping.
