rant *now with instructions on how to take down headliner*
This is REDICULOUS!!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing on this car is coming apart without breaking. I've broke 3 clips already and all I have out is the trim off the pilars. What retard came up with the idea of using plastic clips. He should be locked in a room and forced to EAT plastic clips to stay alive. You know what, f*ck it. The headliner will just have to fall on somebody. This is rediculous.

Yes those clips are a PITA... It takes some patience ;)

see Chris this is where a FSM comes in handy...i have taken my pillars off both A and C and not broken anything
|
The florida heat has done a number on my OH S*** handles... I have replaced 2 of them already, and another has cracked...
If you have never taken the interior of these cars apart, a service manual would come in handy ;) __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

You have to be careful, and have a clip remover..
like the door panel clip removers they have at autozone for $2.99 |
Yes a trim fork is a must.
Don't expect to get the oh shit handles out without breaking some of them. Even when you know excatly how to do it, it may still break. After i broke my front passenger one, I broke two more in the junkyard trying to get a replacement. The steel retainers that the plastic clips are held by eventually rust and lock on to the plastic clips making them stick tight, to the point of breaking on removal. |
Luckily, I haven't broken anything doing mine, and my headliner has to go back in. I usually break interior pieces but this car is solid as a rock! I broke everything in my damn Blazer.
