What was that place before that would need a garage door? Going from the upper left corner of the pic, all the way down to the left A-pillar of the car is a rod and spring used to counter weight the garage door which is to the right. If you look close enough, you can see a hinge in the middle right of the picture.

Plus I see a booger planted by a 5 year old kid on the table closest.

A lot of the restaurants etc. up here have that sort of garage door setup to open up to the patio. Just one of the benefits of living in a place where it is so mild almost year round. That, and no salt!
