Thing is....At 94 and above in a 75 you have the risk for a $1000-$10000 fine, that is if you get convicted of Wreckless Driving.....if you are convicted of wreckless driving you are screwed, but can usually go to court and have it dropped......

Places like rural nevada, idaho, montana, wyoming etc....where there are no towns for 100 miles it is pretty common to see people going a bit faster than the speed limits.

isn't there a stretch of road in Montana where from sun up to sun down and weather permitting you can drive as if it were the autobahn??? with in reason i think i remember reading that in a NG mag one time

Its the thrill of not getting caught. Sure I could be Suzy goody two shoes too but I've always driven defensively and I have always driven no less than 5 mph over. I've had judges and many cops tell me I can go at least 7 mph over and not get pulled over. It works for me ;) On the rare instance I get pulled over for going slightly more I've been fortunate enough to get away without a ticket. :D Just this morning I was cruising to work listening to Sammy Hagar's I can't drive 55 and that is so true!!! :twisted:

I know we're supposed to be on topic, and you can carry on in a bit, but I'm going to say far from being Suzy Goody Two Shoes on the road. I too drive over the speed limit at a rate which would probably be over looked by most law enforcement, but what seems to be the topic of discussion is a need to avoid getting pulled over at excessive speeds. I think it's important to remember on the type of roads we are discussing, you aren't the only one out there.

uhh, i believe that some of the interstates in montana used to have no speed limit but i think that they got rid of that now
