The tournament was great!!! The girls did very well. They went up against some really tough teams and they held their own. The teams they played against have games every weekend and have been playing together for years, where as our girls only have games during tournaments and that is only 3 times a year and they have only played together for 2 years. They came in fourth, out five teams, but they made the other teams work for their wins. Little Jess, played great!!!! She got nine assists and 3 goals. They played some really great teams, except for one, they were horrible to our girls. They were calling our girls names, one girl called Little Jess a B***H, and we filed a complaint against that team. They will be dealt with by the BC Ringette Association, which is a good thing. The trip went great, and all the girls had fun, and they saw what it was like in a big tournament. We are all very proud of the girls!!!!!

Yay for the girls. I'm glad the trip went well and I hope that team gets dealt with because it is supposed to be fun competition and not have to sink to that level.

What'* RIngette???

Too put in short terms, ringette is like hockey, only mainly girls play it, there is no body checking, and they play with a ring instead of a puck and there are no blades at the end of the sticks.

When I was in school (eons ago) I use to love to play floor hockey and I always played defense. It was so much fun. I use to play flag football but we would still tackle especially if it was someone we didn't like that had the ball.

I used to play ringette but that was before the girls had to wear full hockey gear. Jessica plays forward right and center, same position I used to play lol. Ringette will be done here soon and soccer season starts....which I am happy about, it means I get to drive to her games lol.
