Poutine.....do you like it or not?

Like it or not? I LOVE it.

So take the poll. If you haven't, try it.

Poutine - French fries topped with fresh cheese curds and covered with hot gravy (usually brown gravy).

I thought you meant Poontang.

J. Pierpont Finch 05-10-2007 11:08 AM

I'd probably like it after a long night of drinking, mostly because it would probably look about the same coming back up as it did going down.

Cheetah 05-10-2007 11:10 AM

I thought you were talking about an Irish drink

MOS95B 05-10-2007 11:36 AM

Well, I was right. Wonder how that would look on the dash of a new car, or perhaps the bathroom wall of a stranger?

Jim W 05-10-2007 05:20 PM

So lemme get this straight, you guys will eat fries with chili and grated cheese without a problem, but for some reason gravy and cheese is overly gross?

:insane:

MOS95B 05-10-2007 05:21 PM

Hey!! I said it still sounds great. But it definitely gets an F for plating....

Fries with Chili and cheese sounds as bad as this stuff.

For the record: Fries go with ketchup. Not mustard, not gravy, not cheese. Ketchup. That's it, that's all there is, and it's what the designers intended. Anything else is a violation of the french fry protocol of 1927, and is punishable by a fine not less of than $5,000, or 5 years in jail, or both.

Chili is to be eaten with crakers, (SALTINES ONLY), perhaps ketchup if you are a little weird, onions, and/or cheese. GRATED CHEDDAR ONLY. The only other exception is to put chili on a hot dog, maybe with onions and/or cheese. NO SALTINES, NO KETCHUP, NO MUSTARD is to be used on this combo. And it's definately NOT ok to put hot dogs in chili. Hot dogs may, however, be added to beans (Van de Camps ONLY).

So says steak and potatos man.
