I have a question i wanna see others thoughts on this. I work for an internet tech company and im a mobile remote agent ( meaning if someone dont know that i work off location and at home) any way i have a SOFTPHONE which is a program on the computer that uses internet connection to work. I have had it drop on me a few times and the way it drops is below.


Hover over the phone to answer it and it closes to the notification tray

hover mouse over icon in tray and it disapears

reopens and works for a while then again

Do you think its software or network related? im leaning software cuz itunes, messengers and even my music getting software has done this

Really sounds like a network connection problem. You state it happens with various software is being used. It just can't be that all the software has the same glitch.

what i ment was the way it closes has happend to me with OTHER programs in the past. this is the only program that closes on me whil working. My IM system is based off the VPN needing connected to internet and it stays running. the web browser on the VPN stays up and the phone drops. Its only when i go to answer it. if im on a call and move the mouse it wont drop

Shoot the software and get new.

My it says its a connection to network, says the phone drops cuz my signal isnt being received quick enough which is cuz i dont have an issue all the time. its just certain times and random like a software corruption. but i need IT to repair it cuz i dont have admin on my VPN lol

Ok,... Then shoot the IT and get a new one.

Then ull lose a member cuz of MURDER lol. but he isnt very smart lmao

That is typical behavior after a program crashes. I would look into possible patches or updates, make sure it is compatible with your operating system.

Sad thing is it this is all on a vpn so if the network is messed up my vpn would be experiencing issues but this is only program that messes up. and i dont have ability to patch it cuz im not admin. i cant do anything to change any setting on the vpn'* functionality really :(
