Rough Week
Man, I swear...
First of all, money'* been really tight (like a lot of other people right now), so I've really been trying to watch my expenses. Then, I discovered an instructor was 3 months behind on his rent to one of our facility accounts, so I have taken over that facility and am now attempting to get that account back up to date.
Well today, I come home, and what do I find... My Magna 10-speed had been stolen off of my fenced-in apartment patio. They completely left the other bike, and what I can't understand is how they got it with the patio sliding door wide open and my dog (85-pound Akita/Heeler) wandering around (She'* not friendly to people who try to come into her territory uninvited). It was also pushed back towards the sliding door, so they had to have either jumped the fence or been REALLY TALL.
Ah well, I guess when it rains, it pours... I just hope the person gets more out of it than I did. It was virtually new, only been ridden about a total of ten times. And it was completely flat.
So, how was everyone else'* week?

Uhm...somewhat better than yours so far as I can tell. Not stellar by any means, but liveable...lol.
Sheesh! Sorry to hear about the stolen bicycle.

lol, believe it or not, I'm not as upset as I think I should be about the bike being stolen, just that violated feeling you get that someone did something so personal, ya know?
It'* actually good to hear when you guys/gals are having a better week sometimes cause it means that the good times I am having are being passed around to everyone else too
I'm sure things will look up soon.

Believe me, I have had plenty of good and bad weeks lately.
Sorry to hear about your bike. I had one stolen from work years ago. It really sucks :?
You're right, the feeling of violation is pretty bad.

Well, Wolfie, no matter how bad it is, there'* always someone else who'* in worse circumstances than you. It prolly doesn't make your situation any better, it just doesn't seem as bad as it used to. At least you HAD a bike to steal! LOL It still sucks, though.
I like your attitude - "I just hope the person gets more out of it than I did" - I know a story of a fellow from a long time ago who got a blanket stolen out of his carriage. Before Boosty chimes in about my age, this was waaaay before my time When he discovered the blanket missing, he turned to his companion and said (something to the effect of) "I wish I would have met this poor fellow. I would have given him my coat too." Far more Christian than I would have been, I'm ashamed to say!
Still, wouldn't you like to catch someone stealing your stuff, just once?

1.) My fault the bike wasn't locked down. I have remedied that with chain, lock, and two cinder blocks for the other bike, haha.
2.) I live in a fairly economically-sized apartment with no storage room on the outside, so I don't really have much of a choice but to keep them outside.

and yes, JUST ONCE, I would love to catch somebody in the act... if nothing more, just to scare the ever-living snot out of their body with the threats and comments that I would probably reign down on them as I tell them I'm grabbing my 9mm.
