Default Post Pics of Your Worst Wreck

I'll start. I was 18 and my car was being worked on. I had just got home from hunting and we had a woods fire page out. My father let me borrow his 72 Nova ( which was in almost brand new shape) that he was going to use as a project car. I was doing between 55-65MPH as I rounded a curve a BellSouth van was coming the opposite way and was partially in my lane. I swerved of the road and realized I was heading for the concrete bridge. I whipped it back on the road and went too far and I was on a collision course for a car in the other lane and then whipped it back over and was back into my original problem with less time . So I slammed on brakes the car slid sideways and only the front tire caught the foundation of the bridge. The car proceeded to roll (3-7 times)down the embankment into the 15-20 foot deep creek. I tried to get out and realized I had my seatbelt on. I then had to hold my breath under water until I got my seatbelt off. When I got out the car turned upside down (I remember that it was still running up to this point). I swam to the shore and looked back. The adreniline running though me and thinking about what my father was going to do to me caused me to start screaming until I realized I needed to get help. I had to climb up the embankment through broken glass and car parts. I finally waved someone down. Needless to say the woods fire was put on the back burner (that'* Forestry Services job anyway). When the Asst. Fire Chief got there he asked me if I had jumped in to see if anyone was in the car. He was shocked to find out that I was the one in the car.

niiiiiiiiiiiice...yike that would scare the chit outta me.

Never been in an accident, thank God, but my sis has. She was 18, she was a senior in HS and i was a freshman, so she drove me to school every morning. One morning my mom woke me up for the bus, which was WAY earlier than i usually woke up to go with my sis. I asked what was up, and this'll wake ANYONE up in the morning....

My sister had missed a jog in a gravel road late at night in the rain and her car had ended up on its side in a field. My sister was fortunate to walk away with a concussion. So when I don't really like it when people bash Dodges, that'* why. My sis was driving a 1990 Dodge Dynasty, which was almost totally intact. It had always been a reliable car.

I am eternally grateful to that car too. The car ended up on its side and my sister walked away with a concussion...after the car rolled 3 1/2 times

No pictures, too foggy. The car was later used for extrication training and we later bought the 1992 Buick Lesabre that came to be my first car

My worst got me into Greenzilla. My 94 Buick Roadmaster Limited (LT1) got rear-ended with lilpooky and I in it. $10K US damage to the back end. Totalled. Shoved the rear quarterpanels up an inch above the roofline, shoved the trunk into the back seat, and removed the baseball cap from my head and launched it to the rear deck.

I spent 3 months off of work, and had back surgery. I'm partially paralyzed in the left hip, knee, and ankle. Progressively worse as you go down. I've learned to walk with it so you can hardly notice, but when I get tired, you can actually tell it'* me walking up behind you. Lilpooky came through with a 2-day headache and no other scratches.

Hey another nova accident!

So after driving the longest without parents on the freeway in the metro area i had my accident 1 mile from the house. I was a jr in HS at the time. GF next to me, and our best friends (who were also going oug) laying accross the backseat, Yes in the nova...

I was distracted talking to them, about sitting back up, and i turn back and a car'* there, a pink escort GT. I hit the brakes, and the hood/grill hit his bumper. Nothing happened to his car, and the hood bowed along a crease in the middle, and the grill was pushed in. Could never find a silver that was close enough fora few weeks, and finally just did black. Otherwise that car was MINT, and i liked it. I had repainted the wheels a year before too...

Picture is after the hood was straigtened by a shop for too much..

Here'* my last front end! This one was cheaper than the first one. This one was onlt the fender, Marker light, both LH side rims, one tire (Driver'* front), two hubs (both LH side), a control arm (LH), outer tie rod (LH Frt) & one LH Rear Ball joint.

The one before THAT was Both front fenders, Front Fascia, Both Driving Lights, PLUS RH Front Marker lamp. It bent the frame too.
