Default That hurt!

This is what happens when you don't pay attention when your under a vehicle doing work.

Just finished redoing some wiring for my fuel tank on my Blazer, and I just pulled the jack stands out from the rear axle. I was on my creeper laying on my side when I released the floor jack to lower the rear end down when half way down I realized that I was under the hitch. Bam, the hitch landed right on top of my shoulder pinning me. Thankfully, I was on my creeper, and that it allowed me to roll off underneath the hitch and get out to lick my wounds.

So, lesson learned people! Pay attention to what your doing under vehicles.

I have dome similar using on older hydraulic jack and just wanted it down an inch or so, but the sticky worn pressure release gave all at once and the car came down enough to whack me good. Many people die from jacking events. Always good to have a clear head and know the what if'* when laying under 2 tons of steel.

Kinda hard to when the hydraulic jack sits way underneath at the pumpkin.

But yea, thanks guys. That could have gone much worse.

This is why I do my work on a lift. If I'm gonna squash myself, it'll be all at once.
