does anyone here own a rocbox?
a girl i know bought one and never got to use it....the rocbox is an MP3 player that is actually a 20gb hd with program to play the songs built in....i'm trying to find the firmware upgrade or even the orginal firmware on the thing.. but i can't find it anywhere on the net.
Anybody know where i can get the original program. The support site is no longer in exsitence and i'd really like to fix this thing for her(for the cool points ).
any info would be awesome...

thanks but the Rockbox software is something completly different from the Rocbox unit.
I got all excited when i found that too..but i was soon disappointed.
the email addresses were a dead end too...they wanted me to send it to them to have it reflashed...they dont' want to send me the firmware.
basically i've come to the conclusion that i either have to have someone give me the firmware file of there rocbox or find a way to make another firmware work with this rocbox..either way it'* gonna be fun

Pulled from a random Forum:
"The Philips HDD100 MP3 player uses a firmware with the same extension as rocbox'* firmware (.mi4). You can download the file (philips.mi4) from here http://kvota.net/hacks/philips-hdd100/ and try to load it on the rocbox. I have not tried it yet, if you do, let me know how it goes. There are also python scripts available which are supposed to generate the index files in the /system/data directory, but they probably need a little tweaking to work just right on the rocbox..."
