Default 1997 Camry Dies randomly

My mother in law has a 97 camry, 3.0L that has recently started dying randomly. It will just shut off without warning, occasionally it will run rough, but the two issues have not been directly linked yet. Anyone have any clues as to whats going on? Anyone have any experience with a similar problem?

i forgot to mention, her regular mechanic gave it a check and couldnt find anything immediately to blame for this, so im assuming it isnt anything blaringly obvious

Has this car ever seen your car? If so, it might be dying in a hope it will come back as a Bonneville? My only guess...

Agreed on the electrical aspect. Check the ignition and fuel system wiring? Any CEL codes?

yes, i do, but the bonus is, that if i fix it i get to sell it and take half the profit

as far as i know, there is no codes stored

according to her, her mechanic couldnt find anything at all.... if there was a SES code, he SHOULD have found it

Dying randomly? Definately sounds electrical, check connections on ignition and other electrcial parts, not just the parts themselves. Could be a connection going in/out. It'* happened to me and several buddies of mine before.
