when you first turned on your pc, it should have asked for a user to set up. It sets this user up as admin.

check by right clicking on "my computer", manage, local users and groups, groups, double click administrators, find your profile , it will tell you if it is an admin.

you can also try to log in as administrator if you know the admin password. (try a blank password), meaning no password

if you got the computer new like that. and have not reinstalled the OS. im 99% sure your a Admin already :)

Oh, cool trick. I never use my windows key, but that's a great way to log off to the password screen on my computer. Thanks!

the only thing I hate about my thinkpad is it doesn't have a windows key. Feel lost without it

you dont actually log off, you lock the computer until the next time you want to gain acess. :D

Have you figured out how to install your software yet?

Thanks for all the info everyone, I tried downloading the drivers but it doesn't seem to acknowledge that it's been downloaded. I need to take a days off from this cause it's giving me a headache. I'll get back to you when I try again.

Thanks.
