amd athlon x2 4400+ (dual core, already outdated....)
dual nvidia 6600 overclocked
epox nforce 4 dual channel sli mother board (9npa blah blah)
3.5 gigs of ram
400 gig harddrives (i manage it terribly, will be getting more asap.) (songs, not **** hahaha)
lightscribe dvd burner
and a zalman reserator water cooler

^all that is totally unnecessary, usually. but i do graphic design work and having photoshop. illustrator. golive all up at once is almost impossible unless you have that much ram. the rest is just to brag to my friends who usually dont give a crap hahahaha.

that 4400x2 may be outdated already but you still don't have anything to worry about when it comes to a program slowing that system down......i take it you do alot of gaming on that thing otherwise you wouldnt be running SLi

My computers are turds, they do all I need them to do. I purposely threw together my computer for here at school, because if something happens to it, its no big deal. I used an old Compaq Pentium 3 motherboard I had lying around...

School PC:
1.4ghz Celeron, 256mb cache, 100mhz FSB
512mb SD-RAM
40gb hd
10gb hd
32x12x40x CD-RW drive
52x32x52x16 CD-RW/DVD-ROM
some offbrand 128mb graphics card.
10/100 card
Also I threw a TV tuner in it as well.

I think all together it cost me $35 for the cpu and $13 for the cd-rw/dvd rom drive. So its like a $50 comptuer, so I can't complain much. Nowhere near the nicest thing but does everything I need it to.

Laptop:
1.6ghz Centrino
1gb ram
60gb hd
dvd/cd-rw drive (not sure how fast?)
128mb ati graphics card
10/100 card
build in wifi
56k modem

can't remember what else.

Neither of these setups are very quick but they do everything I need them too.
