...so. drunk hit and run anybody?
i'm sitting in the chatroom in my apartment when i hear yelling from outside. i glance out the window in time to see a taurus back squarely into an some other POS ford suv... i dunno. the guy pulls forward and backs into him again...
here goes... i step out of my apartment and see my neighbor across the hall coming outta his. we realize it was the third guy on the floors car and knock on his door to let him know whats going on. i glance down from the balcony to see the guy hop the fence and take off into the next complex.
oh hell no.
in a moment of simultanious bravery, stupidity and an over inflated sense of right both me and my neighbor haul *** across the parking lot, hop the fence and run his drunk arse down.
we catch up to him expecting a fight and he just pulls this innocent crap. you know "i'm not driving, i wasn't driving" truth be told i didn't actually see him get out off the car. i did however see him jump the fence and run away.
we talk him into walking back with us, on the grounds that "nobody is going to leave until the cops get there." outnumbered, he agreed, and within a minute there were about 10 cops on scene.
as it turns out the guy we ran down was the driver, and after insulting every cop on scene, got a nice pair of matching bracelets and a free ride to county.
the best part was new york loudmouths "you think this bothers me... this is a joke to me!" followed by "are you gonna tell me to watch my head when i get in the car?"
the cop calmly relpied "nope" and pinged his head off the car door.
i didn't see nothing.
in hindsight i probably shouldn't have risked myself over something like that, but if it were my car that got hit... i'd want someone to do it for me.

you did the right thing.
Being the victum of a hit and run, if I were the driver of the SUV I would be buying you and your neighbor atleast one dinner at a decent restaurant.

You Adrenalin junky!! I would have done the same thing too. If only more people were like this, there would be less crime. And you know that the police rely on the public to catch people like this because without them, there would be no witnesses.
Good job!!
