holy smokes...
I have driven that stretch a few times and never fell below 85. Of course it wasnt raining either. Thanks for the humbling reminder.
I wasnt in a camaro either, but my 88 Royale with 150k at the time. Not exactly a tight new car then. :(

Thank you for this...
"Accident season" is starting, guys. These are safe cars we drive, and heaven knows they can go fast, but there'* no excuse for putting your life and possibly that of someone else in danger.
Ideally, we'd all speed on drag strips only...unfortunately that'* not generally the case. Please at least watch the conditions and make sure you know the road well before driving the heck out of your car...I don't wanna see anything like this happen to any of you guys :(
I'm getting off my soapbox now, don't worry

The investigators where right, how did that truck/trailer not roll from that? Incredible.

I was driving to Subway for a sandwich last night around 6:30 pm.
Looked like a parade on the road up ahead with flashing lights, firetrucks, ambulances, police. At least 20 cars.
A young driver crossed the road and hit a fire hydrant. Unfortuneatly there were 3 women and a dog on the sidewalk between the car and the hydrant. One woman died on the scene along with the dog and the two other women are in critical condition.
They were out on a power walk to improve their health.
Yup, it'* that time of the year. Wet roads. Dark. Celebrations.
Be real careful out there guys and gals.
