Default $10 variable length intake

I found a SHO at the junkyard today and I bought the intake manifold just for the hel of it. The $10 I paid is totally worth it for me to have something like this to play around with.

I'm not trying to make this work on another motor really. I just want ot tinker w/ it. But.. who knows..

heh, took me a minute to see how that works, didn't see the actuators there.

You gonna build a CVLIR system?

That thing is off the hook even though I don't understand how it works.

I think there'* a vacuum actuated set of butterflys in each of the short pipes.

Whats a CVLIR system? Constantly Variable Lower Intake Something?

I really don't intend to do anything productive with this anytime soon.
For modding to fit an L36 there are a list of problems.
port sequence is backwards and offset
way different exit on the sho mani than the L36 lim
no good place to put the injectors
alternator clearance
and the list goes on.

The butterflies for the shorter runners are vac controlled. They open at 4k on the tarus.

Constantly Variable Length Intake Runners. Think M7. For my L27 I would need from 19" at idle to 6"-9" (memory fading) long runners at red line. They would adjust in a linear fashion according to enginre RPM, with maybe a slight advance at WOT.

The SHO engine intake system is very effective. Power from off idle all the way up to 8000 rpm.

The SHO isn't constantly variable, just short or long.
