'84 Olds Delta Question
Hi Gang,
I have yet another question for the gurus here:
The turn signal stalk on the '84 Olds Delta is missing the cruise button. I have a stalk from my '93 Bonne SE. The functionality is the same, but I am wondering if the connections are the same? I went so far as to pull the stalk out in the same way I did when I replaced it on the Bonne, and it pulled out just the same. Before I go further, I just thought I would ask.
Thanks gang!

That is quite a difference in years. The button being missing as in was there..not there 23 years later or missing as in never was there?
From what I see across the various cars, GM didn't swap connectors or thought patterns on some things too frequently. If the simple button push and same connector couldn't necessarily be improved, they didn't do it. Meaning.. maybe. I think it depends on the connector shape for the most part.

Bill,
Sorry for the confusion. The Olds originally had cruise, but the "set" button at the end of the stalk is missing. It "looks" the same as the one for our Bonneville'* (except ours is plastic, the Olds is mainly chrome), but I haven't checked the electrical connection inside the steering column. That'* tonight, unless someone says "no way".
Thanks for the help! Know of anyone that needs an 18' freeway ship? Add some 22" wheels and lift the thing...maybe some bouncy hydraulics...and they would be good to go!
BTW...hat tip to you...the new stalk came from your supply a few months ago.
