I remember when I worked at Office Depot we had a guy come in who bought a rather large and heavy unassebled desk. The guy didn't want it delivered (would have been free) but rather wanted to take it home that night. So me and this other guy (reluctantly) put this huge box ontop of this guys new mid-sized family sedan. We got it on about halfway and then you could hear the roof cave in. :shake: He just smiled and told us to keep going. So we quickly threw it on and shut the dock door. I would hate to see what his roof looked like when he got home.

 how can people be that ignorant ?? Don't they know there's a weight sticker capacity on the car? Wouldn't you also think that if you know you're going to have to carry so much stuff.. why not rent a truck or a trailer ? Ha ha ha... I wish I was there... I"d laugh to his face.. i think the girl is passed out from shock and embaressment..hahaha

Yea I saw this before too. I guess he had to sign a release saying that Home Depot wasnt responsible for any damages to the car after it was loaded. Its funny what some people might do just to save some money.

I got a million of em. Two years of working at toys r us and running the big ticket and warehouse section will get you alot of stories to tell. I gotta go to class now but I'll post some.

At Toys R Us, we had to make up a waiver after so many stupid people were so sure that they could fit large, heavy pools, swingsets, and playsets on the roofs of their toyotas and hondas and various other small cars. Most of the time women were convinced that they could fit a 20' long swing set in their RAV 4. They wouldn't believe it would hang out the end about 15' until we dragged it all the way out and they said, "oh, thats not gonna fit!" NO SHIT!! That makes me so mad.

Sometimes, however, people are determined and try to fit large objects in their cars. One time I let a lady go with a swing set hanging about 5' out of her passenger side window. I got the waiver slip though. And even more times, it seemed to fit an item in a car that we would just let the customer throw the item in their car and let them deal with it for 1/2 hr.

Working there makes you so frustrated because people are so stubborn. "i've been working here for 2 year mam and I know that it will not fit in your honda accord" "well lets try anyway" "OK, I guess two years experience isn't enough then. hmmm"
What is that all about ? It pisses me off so much!!
