my friend just got one and i was looking up numbers on it and noticed it has a 3.8 v6 with 195hp and 230 torque. is that the same engine the NAed Bonnevilles use? what makes it different? im guessing even more restrictive exhaust and intake(if thats possible)....but i guess the main thing i want to know is if this is the same engine as my car.

no the Olds has a 3.5 ShortStar. A smaller cousin to the 4.6 Northstar

i forgot to specify which year, its a 98, and according to msn it has a 3.8 engine...and i guess if id read more instead of skipping straight to the #*...."Based on both the flagship Aurora and the Antares show car, Intrigue will replace the classic Cutlass Supreme and shares its platform with the new Buick Regal and Pontiac Grand Prix." so by all accounts it should have a 3800 right?

yea the 98 had the 3800 series II and the 99 got the Shortstar
