Can I really get this much hp from all this?
Well I bought a 1995 ford contour with a 2.0 dohc and I know that hp gains on products are kinda far fetched.....
I currently have 125 hp stock and 130 ft lbs of tourque
Muffler off ebay good sound says it adds up to 12 hp
Cool Air intake says it adds up to 10 hp
Mod chip claims a average gain of 12-15 hp
So according to this I can get it up to 162 hp THATS QUITE A BOAST off this little bit of money
Muffler on ebay 55 bucks /w shipping
Cool air intake 65 bucks with shipping (not fake pcv pipe they say also)
Mod Chip is $28 shipped
$148 and a 37 hp gain? Kinda far fetched right?

Stay away from the ebay chips. There totally bogus. Intake and exhaust maybe 15-20 hp total...? But make sure to get a high flow replacement catyltic converter, that would help out your muffler a lot

The chip is probably a 10 cent resistor and the intake/muffler would probably add like 10-20 hp.
Another thing you have to consider is were along the rpm band is the hp being added? if it'* not at your peak then you might not add much to your overall hp. But this dosent mean you won't have more power at other points along your rpm band.
ps. stay away from the chip

Ummm its a $130 Contour?
Modding why?
Please satisfy my curiousity and isnt the rule 1 sec off stock 1/4 mile time at the track = $1000 in mods?
Remember Ebay can make outrageous claims to sell a product, buyer beware.

From my experience, I would say you would gain ~10-15hp MAX with that stuff. Up to X amount of horsepower, means you typically aren't going to see gains larger than that, and up to means (lets say its up to 12hp) that you will see a gain of anywhere between 0 & 12hp. Meaning you could do all that stuff and gain 0hp! You could actually LOSE power. And 9 times out of ten, performance parts on ebay are a scam.
