oddball fixes

So the new gf owns a mustang and was talking to me the other day and she was going to come see me but she said that her car wouldnt start... so I asked the typical questions leave the lights on, got gas, got spark, fuel filter clogged, starter cable touching the manifold and melted? well this is at 5 pm and light is almost long gone. she did some looking and found the cable to the starter was chewed almost through looked and looked and looked found nothing but had her dad help swap the cable to get her back on the road. she said she had a horrendous smell and popped the hood when she got home and found a fried squirrel. I have never laughed so hard, so what is your oddball story like this

I had 69 Grand Prix with a fan shroud that resembled a wind tunnel. Many a stray cat met it's maker snuggling up to the warm radiator.

I drove from here in PA to our house in Cincinnati (600 miles), got out and a chipmunk came out from under the hood via the right wheelwell and scrambled across the yard. No blood and guts, he seemed fine, but left me scratching my head as to why he didn't escape during the pitstops I made.

Same thing happened with my moms 86 Monte. We killed one of our cats that way. Another one got lucky and just rode to her work and back.

I was in my dads car once when it started running warm, when we stopped we found a pheasant (dead) covering the grille.

Now that's funny.

I work with a guy that went to start his 69 charger. It cranked and then stopped. Could not crank engine around. Pulled the head and found a mouse nest in a cylinder. Ouch. Must have went up the exhaust and found a open valve. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.

:w3Actually, grilled pheasant sounds pretty tasty.
