Now they Have Gone to Far

:o

Bear with me folks, I'm pretty upset...

So I get my new insurance policy in the mail today...finally, well after many discussions with my insurance broker before I bought the car.... He clearly explained to me that the cost per annum is split into $295 per month, plus tax and service charges (like 110 bones...no biggie). I budgeted and realized that $295 a month was ok. After all, single, 24, V8 Aurora, you gotta pony up...fine.

Sooooo, today I get my new policy. An ass whomping $413 per month (liable only, no collision). Upon furthur review my insurance a$$holes decided to charge me a years worth of insurance into 8 months.

$295 x 12 = $3540 (includes tax and charges)
$413 x 8 = $ 3304 + tax + charges = $3540

:?

Does this make sense? Since when does the Gregorian calendar that we use all of a sudden lose 4 months?

That sucks Jim, and I totally forgot you don't have collision...which makes that price jump even more ridiculous. Did they screw up and add collision on your policy to make it that high? I hope it is, maybe it wil go down.

Holy cow, man. Raise your deductible or something. That sucks. Maybe time to shop around?

pick up a phone book and send your info to all insurance places in your area... I do this every 2 years... because after they get my $$ twice they jack it up a grand!
I dont understand how they can charge me an insane ammount.. how many of my vehicles can me and my wife drive? lol...and I put 2 away for the winter...

well stop driving like an ass  no my rate for the bonny is 315 monthly laiblity and comp

Jim W 10-01-2003 08:38 PM

Ass eh? No convictions, no fines, no tickets, no accidents, no claims

bonnie94ssei 10-01-2003 09:05 PM

Sounds like BS to me Jim. SUPER CLEAN record and they treat you like some ricer who drives like a retard. You should be paying much less than that. I hope it's just a clerical error :?

At least here in the US insurance drops once you hit 25 (depending on your record I'm sure)...does that happen where you are?

BonneMeMN 10-01-2003 09:20 PM

Under 500 USD every 6 months, with decent coverage, and free glass!

Jim take them to the canadian equivalent of the BBB.

bonnie94ssei 10-01-2003 09:23 PM

Damn Jason, I pay the equivalent of $650 every 6 months, full coverage, full glass...$107 and change monthly and still under my parent's insurance. I wish I could get my payment under $100. It used to be then it went up a month later. :x
