We paid $4,900 ....I think it might have been a bit high, Andy was ok with it though, and he is usually very very picky. I needed a car before the snow falls, I am driving a big 89 chevy travel van right now and its a big pig We always winterize this vehicle and is usually only driven to the cottage on weekends but after my car died on me I had no choice, got real good a backin it into little spots in the mall...lol!
My jaw hit the ground when I saw the car yesterday. Pictures really dont do these cars justice!

Welcome aboard... good to have another Caunuckle head here...
You will love your car. First thing I would suggest changing is the Thermostat. From 195 (stock) to 180F t-stat. You will also have to go to an authorized dealer to get the Thermostat housing gasket.. I heard that Crappy Tire has the gasket too, but wasn't able to locate it when I went.. if anyone else got input.. go for it. The engines are known for cracking heads and creating leaks due to the excess heat, so a lower thermostat is an insurance to prevent your car from overheating ( providing everything else if fine ). You may not need to worry about it just yet since winter is coming.. but a definite in spring.. and in which case.. add a tranny cooler in spring too.

As for the mirror tint. I wanted to go with it too, but had talked to a few police officers from York, Peel, Metro, and Halton regions, and they all stated that the mirror finishes usually gets pulled over more often since as soon as light hits it.. they tend to reflect in which case it blinds the guy behind you ( and they can give you some b.*. ticket for improper tint causing unsafe conditions around you ). I have followed a few people before with mirror tint and it was never like bling bling.. I'm blind.. it'* just noticable.. but if the cop is in a bad mood or has to meet there ticket criteria.. well.. then you'll have to take the time off and the hassle to take it to Judge Judy.. ha ha ha...
Anywho... I'm rambling on... welcome

P.*.
Watch out for Willwren.. he has a fascination with running around naked and you can always tell since he has alcohol injecting through his veins via I.V. ha ha ha...

Welcome--officially.

I am glad you purchased your SSEi. As for Drifter and Will, stay away from both of them. Drifter will try to give you happy hippy pills, and Will....well what can we say about will that Drifter didn't already cover.

All in all this is a good bunch to hang out with. Glad you are here!

Yes, they are men...in the loosest sense of the term. Actually, you are one of five lady members in this forum. The rest of us are men. If you have read through the older threads, you will find that most of the members are younger (16-20 something) with a few of us "old farts" (at 30-40 something) hanging around. It must be that our demographic is represented by those who: A) have an interest in Bonnevilles, and B) are computer saavy enough to go on line. That significantly reduces the number of 40+ people in this forum.

But most everyone here is knowledgeable and may speciallize in different areas. Age has nothing to do with that. Besides, Will, Drifter, Speedguy, and other "old Farts" are only old chronologically. Emotionally is a different story.

With that said, I will bow out (and pull my foot out of my mouth) before I turn my friends against me

Just having a little fun guys.
