Default (Rant) Somebody hit-n-run on my dad'* 1953 Chrysler!!!!

DAMNED IT ANYHOW!!!!!!!! My dad took his hemi-powered 1953 to get an appraisal today, and when dad and the appraisal guy came out of the aprraisal office to appraise the car the grill that dad had just wiped off 2 minutes earlier had been backed into and broken.
I am pissed!!! I have alot of sweat and blood of my own into helping dad restore this between 2000-2003. Not to mention all the time and money my dad has invested.
Anyhow, it'* not alot of damage, but damn!! that pot-metal is expensive as fukc to replace, especially in the show-quality chrome that has on there.
I don't have pics yet, but will in a couple minutes.

Here'* a pic of the car last spring parked in our front yard under the Catulpa (sp?) Tree.

Another from mom and dad'* trip to Wisconsin Dells, WI with it to the Walter P. Chrysler Club Nats in 2003:

What a coward! I could not believe that someone could be that weak that they couldn't own up to the fact that they screwed up.

Ok, came home with the car -it'* not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it still blows.
Dad say'* he has an idea of what hit him. He had parked with the right side of the car to the curb on the side of the road about 8 feet behing a truck pulling a trailer approx. 20-25' long with a bunch of junk on it. Apparently that'* what everything is to them.
Really ticked dad off, because when he parked the car he left what he thought would be enough room for the truck to back up enough to get out in case someone parked on his front bumper. Dad said he might have left more room, but another 2-3' and someone would've tryed parking between them.

See there is also a scuff about 3 inches to the left of the crack also. The pic doesn't show it, but at the bottom of the crack there is a nice dent in the metal about 3/8" deep.

Man, people suck. I'm always extra careful if I park next to a classic or restored car.

I don't even try to park next to stuff like that, i just park so the owner will notice my car.

That sux dood, i bet it'* not an easy piece to get either, he probably didn't even feel it when he hit you cause of the stuff and the trailer.
