Default Wal-Mart Ending Layaway?!?!?!

NO WAY! Ever notice in your local WalMart they might have painted OVER Layaway on the back wall? All thats left is Restrooms under it? Thats because they are ENDING the layway program! I know I use layaway all the time, usually because its something that is low stock and maybe don't have money to get it right that second, but as soon as I get money again...I go back and get it! Well I bet alot of you love it because it is a great no intrest way to pay for expensive things! Well then. Lets stop it!

Please sign the petition. Its worth a try.

How about just avoiding walmart altogether? I think that place will be the end of small businesses everywhere. I've always avoided it, and you should too.

that is easier said than done. I have tried to frequent my local grocery stores but the prices are killing me!! You forget I have to feed Jeff and groceries are expensive. The best way to get the most for my money is going to WalMart. They are a good 75 cents or more cheaper on most of the items I buy plus the selection is far better.

Have you actually compared apples to apples with Walmart prices? I can't say myself because I avoid Walmart when I can, but I have read over and over that you are not saving money at Walmart. I've heard countless examples of products being at a lower price compared to other stores, but they are actually smaller sizes or quantities so you actually pay the same. And with all the examples I've heard about products being inferior at Walmart (a company with make two different products under the same model number, with the Walmart product made cheaper), that makes me think twice about buying there.

As far as layaway, my philosophy is that if you don't have the money now, you shouldn't be buying it anyway. You should either be spending less on other things, getting a better job, getting a second job, etc.

well actually i should have been more specific.

I meant...usually I use it for when i'm like getting a big bit of furniture and its like their last one and I don't have a truck and require time to get a truck in order...so sometimes it has its uses.

I have my doubts. It is not economically viable for the manufacturers.

Yup i have, im a bargun shopper / wheeler and dealer..

70% of the time, unless a smaler store is having a sale or somthing the same product at walmart is cheaper by either cupple cents or a few dollars.
and yes they where the same oz. or size.

Walmart is not al amout saving on a few items at a time,
its more savings if you go there Alot of buy in bulk every time you go out,
also if you need Food and cloths or somthing its cheaper to hit one store insted of two gas whys...

yeah i know there priceing sceams.. 2.97 insted of 2.99 / 5.68 insted of 5.75 over a long time it does add up, just like somone that goes to a Club store to get gass insted of the mom and pop gas store, not always alot cheaper but over a years time it adds up
