Maybe I'm nuts, but I think they went too far with the "clean" look...it seems futuristic to the point of sci-fi from some angles (the side view is reminiscent of the earliest electric/gas hybrids, which doesn't speak "power" to me). The front is pretty sweet, though I think the front grills are too large vertically (they remind me of older Grand Am grills and don't seem to fit the dimensions of the hood to me). Even the 20 inch wheels look rediculously large to me, like a 5' tall woman with size 12 feet.
And call me tacky, but I like a little body cladding (I love the way my Bonnie looks even though every review I've ever read calls it "garish"). Don't get me wrong, I don't like a lot of plastic on a car, but a little shape to the sides (rather than just a smooth plain) is a good thing in my book.
Maybe it's because I'm a woman (we paint our nails "garish" colors all the time because we think it looks good, and that is not even to mention our clothes  )...I wonder how other women feel about it...Tamara, where are you?

I've heard it's goin' to be tha new Grand Am, I guess it's only gossip But tha "G" must stand for somethin right? anyway, what would a GA be doin with all that power......

Hailey youre right, it does look pretty plain on the sides, although those 20" rims do look very nice. I think this is the way that pontiac is trying to go, smoothing out all their cars, I guesss they are trying to look "sleek" or somehting.

I don't like it at ALL...looks like they totally took after Nissan. Yea, those rims are ok, but you know what..there are a TONNE of cars around with those plain old five stars...even mustangs...forget that...!!! NOT on any car i'll buy...back to square one, Pontiac
